  Tourism glossary This glossary is for students or anyone who is interested in the subject. I made it so everyone could understand different expressions or words in the field of tourism. PAX noun In tourism and travel industry, PAX means passenger, travelers, or occupants. Example: In this plane it can hold 10 pax. fr: PAX Your browser does not support the audio element. I am presently studying in tourism because I have a passion for traveling.  With my program I will be able to animate, guide clients during different situations, sell and commercialise different products.  The program is very interesting because we can share and discuse with other people who have the same passion then me.  We learn about different cultures and travel around the world by staying in class.
